I am a big fan of kitchen sink sprayers. They are the most wonderfully simple feature to have in a home. Baby baths, washing hair, rinsing vegetables, and general cleaning around the sink is made simpler by this gadget.
The difference between a matchbox tractor and a real, life-size tractor is not even close to the difference between the wonder of a sprayer and the wonder of God's love showered on us. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to wash the dirt of our life away. And it is easy. No lambs, bulls, or doves to sacrifice. No grain offerings to be continually brought to God.
John 3:16 tells us how wonderfully simple this works: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
But wait, there's more! Not ginshu knives that can cut through granite (just in case you needed to slice some stones up for lunch). Wonder part #2 is the Holy Spirit! Luke 11:13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the HolySpirit to those who ask him!”
How much would you pay for all this?
Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
