Living plants have different requirements. Ferns do not do well in direct sunlight while other plants thrive in the sun. The Christmas poinsettias must not be over watered and other plants need a daily watering.
The live plants in our church are a reminder that people need proper care. Some need to be hugged while others wish not to be smothered. Neglect will dry people up. Some parts of our lives should curl up and fall off because it allows new buds to flourish.
Relationships need attention or they will not survive.
1 Corinthians 3:6-8
I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 9 For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
Who are you watering today and who waters you?
