We sang songs honoring and worshiping Jesus. A student shared his story last night about his parent’s breakup and some difficult events in his family. He had a friend who invited him to their church’s youth group. He heard about Jesus and accepted the free gift of living for Him and with Him. He challenged us to read the Bible every day, appreciate our families and be thankful.
The leader of ROC asked if there were any that wanted prayer. Students asked for prayer concerning the health of a grandparent, a friend getting harshly teased in school, struggle with their parents and the breaking of a never shared before addiction.
With each request, their peers lifted authentic, raw and holy prayers to Jesus. There is something powerful that happens when a group of people that love Jesus get together and pray for one another. You could feel something special happening in the room. Jesus talks about this Power of 2.
Matthew 18:19-20 (NIV)
19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three gather in My name, there am I with them.”
Do you have people you can go to for prayer and experience the Power of 2?
