I am impressed with the already strong level of responsibility the husband’s and father’s carry in their families. The chapter we had read and reviewed last night was “Resolve to Love Your Wife.” Marriage is referred to as holy matrimony. The authors wrote, “Holiness. It’s not just a form of good behavior. It’s a new way of looking at your wife.”
As guys, we admitted that when we think of God as holy and things pertaining to the church as holy. We think of our wives in terms of gorgeous, wise, and loving. We are now challenged to think and treat her as holy.
How?
Set her apart in your eyes above all other women. The author's wrote, “God is calling for you as a husband was not to marry the woman you love, but to love the woman you married.”
Ephesians 5:25-27
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
Each of us prayed that we would step it up in our love towards our wives and set her above all other women.
Men, how do you treat your wife as holy?
