Jim Was Lost

I found Jim this morning. After dropping my wife of at her workplace I noticed a man waving to the car in front of me. As I passed by, he waved to me also, but it was a wave to get attention. I circled back and met Jim. Jim is a senior citizen who was standing outside the school district office in our community. He said he was there for a prayer meeting. He told me he was dropped off, but was uncertain about where he was. Jim was disorientated, cold and the dew on his slippers indicated he had walked from somewhere.

I had him warm up in my car and a 911 call brought two police officers who recognized Jim and knew he was from the nearby cul-de-sac. Jim had lost his way and memory issues brought him to a default that remembered gathering for prayer.

The Bible says that every person is like a sheep that is lost, cold and does not know the way to go.
Isaiah 53:6a
We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
    each of us has turned to our own way;

Life is confusing without Jesus and we need to know the way home. The 911 call to Jesus will restore you.
