Jesus was born in a stable. Scripture does not tell us how long Joseph and Mary remained there. We know they stayed in Bethlehem for at least eight days when Jesus was presented in the temple at Jerusalem. The Magi may have visited Jesus before or after this time, but not on the day of His birth. After the Magi left, the LORD appeared to Joseph in a dream warning him of Herod and directing them to go to Egypt. After Herod died, they returned and settled in their hometown of Nazareth.
Jesus did not grow up in a 20 room apartment, yet He was the most royal baby in history and forever. Jesus is the king of kings and lord of lords. He is the son of God, in fact, God in flesh. Most of the press of the day missed seeing Jesus. While Jesus was on this earth, many met Him. Today, hundreds of thousands encounter Jesus in a real relationship. The way to begin that relationship has not changed over the course of history.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
