My son and his fiancé are getting married at our home. In preparation for this wonderful celebration, our family is cleaning the place up. I have two dead riding lawn mowers that have been cluttering up our property. Our recycling center in town will take them for free, but I would need to drain the fluids out of them. I placed them on Craigslist for sale – not running, best offer. Any amount I get for the lifeless mowers would save me the work of draining and hauling them in to the center. Yesterday, I got $200 for one of the mowers. $200! The person knows it does not run. His wife had contacted me about the mower and offered $200. He came and did not even look it over, but handed me two Benjamin Franklins. Some say that if it seems too good to be true, it probably is not. Now I am wondering if the cash is real. I will take it to the bank today. Jesus offered His life for our sins. When you receive this gift of forgiveness, you have a relationship with the Creator of the universe. It can seem too good to be true. All my sin and all my shame is gone. You can take it to the bank to determine if this offer is genuine or fake. Psalms 34:8 NIV Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him. Revelation 3:20 NIV Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with Me.
