This is what the bible describes as iron sharpening iron. Sometimes, I am challenged by a question or suggested action. Other times, excited to share good news to my friend. The value of meeting each week is stronger than an accountability. Counsel, shared joy, healthy dialogue, and safe venting have shaped me in ways that may not have happened otherwise.
If you wish to get sharper in your life, get an iron partner.
Keys to a good iron partner:
1. Trust - you trust them and they trust you
2. Honesty - each of you are willing to ask the hard questions
3. Maturity - spiritual maturity
4. Consistency - ability to meet regularly
