Gas went up 3% at our local stations.
Stocks dropped because America is "going over a fiscal cliff".
Is it okay to hit the panic button? Read the rest of this blog and then hit it if you want.
The expiration of the tax cuts were on the calendar since Bush set the date after passing the policies. My opinion is that our news media is market driven and gets more viewers through sensationalizing news. This may have affected the gas price uptick, but I am not certain about that.
Would the world market been more alarmed if our president was not re-elected? Would the media be more alarmed? Maybe, maybe not.
God has a calendar and He is the only one who gets to see it. God knows when His term in office will begin. His term is not by popular or electoral vote. God has no term limits; in fact, He will have perpetual reign. There is no worry that His forever office term will turn God into an insider, He already is. He made all things, including the world, with His son, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. And by the way, the boundaries of His rule are global and beyond.
Mark 13:32-33
32 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.33 Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come."
There is no worry that God will become a tyrant dictator. His love is infinite and His justice is infinite. The new way of living under His perfect rulership will be incredibly amazing.
Revelations 21:3-4
3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
I am holding off on the panic button.
How about you?
