I am helping my daughter look for a car to replace her aging Chevy. She has a certain model she is looking for, under so many miles, and within her budget. She has saved up and is ready to pay cash. She does not have any color preference, but does want the car to be an all-wheel drive and have a car rack. I found a car that fit her criteria. The morning we were going to look at it, I called the dealership and was told the car sold the day before. Okay. My daughter and I prayed for the Lord to help us find the car that would fit the criteria and be a reliably good vehicle. Another car was found right in our community. It was higher than her budget, but we made an offer. Not accepted. After another paycheck, my daughter had enough to pay full price if that is what it came down to getting a purchase. We went back to the dealership with a higher offer in mind, but not full price. The car was sitting there with a SOLD sign on the windshield. It sold the day before for full price. Today, we were going to a town further away look at another car. I felt that God was directing our path. My daughter was wrestling with the whole process and just wanted to stay home. She told the Lord that she would go look even though she just wanted to stay home and get some other projects accomplished. I sent a text to the salesman I had contacted the day before and told him we would come this afternoon. He called me to tell me, you guessed it, it sold yesterday. Does God help people buy cars? Is He really involved in this process? Proverbs 20:24 A person’s steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand their own way? Jesus told a story about a rich man who had a year of abundant crops. He ran out of storage so, he made a plan to tear down his barns and build bigger storage sheds so he can take life easy. His life was demanded from the Lord that very night for being greedy and not rich towards God. After telling this story, Jesus said to His disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.” Luke 12:22 I think God is directing our steps even though it is hard to understand. I know for certain that we are not to be worried about it. What do you think, would God help you buy a car?

I've been needing a car for awhile. I need a job also. It seems all was gone at once. Please pray for me. I know God is concerned about everything. I wish I could tell my whole story but I can't

listen to my story and see if you do not find hope in it. i had a chrystler 300 my father bought for me before he passed away. it was precious to me. last december a drunk driver hit me and got away. i was stuck with repair costs. a good friend at church offerered to fix everything for free if i bought the parts. done.something led me to buy a dash cam so i did then a week ago another drunk driver hit me. keep in mind my car had a lot of miles on it and i was very worried using it for work i would be out of luck if anything else went wrong. this second drunk driver stayed at the scene it was all recorded on my dash cam and within days his insurance got me a rental and accepted liability. they sent me 7800 and im also going to get a payout for the injury portion. ive been 2 years behind on property taxes and getting to the point where i didnt know what i would do. the lord always provides. now brothers and sisters. we do not need a car. we dont even need a house. we ciould live in the woods and still have all that we need. god is so good. keep your hope in god and heavan. this life is but a breathe and then comes everlasting peace. but remember we may not always get whaty we ask for and that is for our own good. god knows exactly what we need in each moment. bless all of you

You need to believe and have faith in him .You never know how God works, but believe me he is working on your behalf on blessing you with what you already ask for and he gives what you need not what you want. This is what I just received from him for you is that there is going to be a lady from your community or church that is going to give you the keys for your car ok.You need to believe in his name that your request is already been stamp and delivered by his working angels.Jesus loves you ok.PEACE

The two verses really got me to my point of need. Proverbs 20:24 and Luke 12:22.

I am curious to know how this story played out. I recently was looking at getting a new car. The one I currently have is also very old and have had to put a lot of money into it the past 5 years. When looking at a car recently it ended up not going the way I had hoped at the dealership and my husband was reading a verse on his phone "many are the plans in a man's heart but the Lord's purpose prevails". Earlier in the week when praying about it, I read the same scripture from proverbs you listed here. In the past, I've made a habit of giving up on my car search when I don't find one quickly or pray & don't get any answers. I just assume I must be selfish or greedy for asking God about wordly things. So I am curious to know how this ended. Did she ever find a car? Did it end up being reliable? Did she keep searching?

It seems that God is saving her from a lemon. Or maybe it’s not exactly the right time.
