Divine Partnership with God

I believe that God is a personal being, who created the universe, is infinite and is actively involved in what He created. God is not an impersonal force, but a unique, infinite person. God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit – three in one and one in three. God does not micromanage the world, but did not simply create it and walk away.

God created humankind to be in a relationship with Him. A personal relationship based upon His love for us. God put humankind in charge of this world; to care for it and rule over it.

God created a population of spirit beings before He made humankind. There was a split led by satan among these angelic beings. Now this population is divided. Angels obey, worship and serve God. Demons disobey, hate, and oppose God.

Satan deceived humankind resulting in the loss of relationship with God and rulership in this world. God persistently pursued humankind and restoration of the broken relationship is gained through acceptance of the sacrificial work of Jesus Christ on the cross for our sins. Jesus died for us, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven and sent the Holy Spirit to be in and among those who believe.

Jesus Christ will return from heaven to fully establish His kingdom on this earth. Until then, we are in a divine partnership with God on this earth. The keys to the kingdom were regained by Jesus’ death and resurrection. Jesus gave those keys, the authority to care and rule this world, back to humankind.

Today, every follower and lover of Jesus is to partner with Him in living as though King Jesus were here. A life of love, honesty, trust, kindness, purity, forgiveness, and all attributes that represent Jesus are to be the character that we live. The Holy Spirit is available to empower us to live this kind of life. Being filled with the Holy Spirit allows us to truly partner with God on this earth. Divine partnership.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
