We are composed of three parts—body, soul, and spirit. Our body is the “house” in which we live. Our soul is our self—composed of mind, emotions, and will. Our spirit is our innermost being by which we can know God and receive His life. (ubdavid.org)
1 Thessalonians 5:23
May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Four makeup tips for our whole being:
1. Accept God's salvation and grow in sanctification in your life. It makes you a new person. The gospel is for the whole person; body, soul and spirit.
2. Get proper rest, diet, and exercise as well as prayer, bible reading, and scripture meditation everyday for your holistic health.
3. Exercise faith and build a bridge from your spirit to your soul and body. Ask for faith today and pray for whatever healing is needed in your life; physical or relational healing.
4. Do an activity which engages body, soul and spirit. Eric Liddell, the Olympic runner featured in the movie, "Chariots of Fire", said he felt the pleasure of God when he ran. Praying in tongues, gardening, running, crafting, using your spiritual gifts or whatever brings God's presence and pleasure into your life.
