God gives each of us skills, talents, and a destiny to fulfill. It is given to us as a trust. He expects that you will live out your calling and purpose using the set of talents God has given you for His pleasure. Jesus told His followers a parable which illustrates His expectations. Luke 19:13,15-17 13 So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. ‘Put this money to work,’ he said, ‘until I come back.’ 15 “He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it. 16 “The first one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned ten more.’ 17 “‘Well done, my good servant!’ his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’ I think it is a big deal to double your return, but Jesus’ shares that it is a very small matter in the story He told. Your personality, character traits, and sphere of influence are given by God. You can live each day with boldness, knowing that success follows obeying God. Are you a ten city person?
