_Our Response celebrated it's 2nd year of partnership with World Vision in Kivuruga, Rwanda. With over 250 child sponsorships, 11 church partners, and two trips under our belt, Our Response is sweeping across East Central ...Minnesota. The team that recently returned from Kivaruga shared the impact we have had and look to the future. Singer/songwriter/activist Sara Groves joined us to share her experiences in Rwanda through story and song.

It was a special evening that helped answer the common question, "Global poverty is so overwhelming, what can I do?" We cannot do everything, but we can do something. Our goal is to see Kivaruga self-sustainable by 2015. Over $100,000 is currently going into the community through child sponsorships. In addition to providing food, clothing, proper vaccinations, and school uniforms to the sponsor child and his or her family, the monthly sponsorships are used in the community and  is helping build a clinic, a school, fresh water storage and funds a nutrition project.

Each week I play hockey at the Isanti Arena and it costs me $10 each skate. For less dollars each week, I support Joselynn and make a difference. Thank you for the many who have joined me in sponsorship. To those who wish to learn more or want to sponsor a child, go to  www.our-response.org
